Today was another day of ceremony. We came in at 10:00 this morning and then at 10:30 we went down to the House chambers for swearing in of Constitutional Officers and for Governor Beebe's address to us.
As always, he gave a grand talk. One of the things I especially enjoy about his talks is when he builds the state up - when he talks about all the good things that we in Arkansas have going for us - some job creation, a truly balanced budget, improvements in education and many other things. We still have a long way to go but I believe and I tell people everywhere I go that there is no better place in the world to live than in Arkansas.
There are a couple of committees meeting tomorrow as we begin the process of getting bills in the pipeline so that we can begin to do our work.
