What a nice weekend I had. My son and future daughter-in-law came to town on Saturday. They were doing wedding type stuff but I enjoyed seeing them. My baby, Shelly, came home from school and I am always glad to see her. The weather was pretty darned good. It was warm enough that I rode my bicycle both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. At the office I managed to do a little insurance work and answer my emails. Mom cooked lunch for after church - I think it was a lemon pepper pork loin and we all (grandmother, mom, Deb and Shelly) ate together. It seems those times of all of us sitting down at a table don't come near as often as they should.
A good weekend - I did not really have any political opportunities. This coming weekend I know that I have a Chamber Banquet in Mena on Friday night. In addition, I am looking forward to being the Co-Grand Marshall of the Black History Parade in Hope Saturday. In the next couple of weeks there are more Chamber Banquets but they are scheduled on weekdays and I don't anticipate being able to attend them. It is just too hard to leave Little Rock and drive home and then turn around and drive back to Little Rock. I hope that your weekend was good also.
