Early Sign That Spring Will Come

Some of my friends gathered out at "deer camp" tonight to eat some good food and enjoy some "quality" conversations. Topics range from politics, who got arrested this week, the economy, the Presidency and - there are many more areas of expertise in the group. We take turns providing the meals. Tonight's meal was country style pork ribs they had slow cooked all night last night, potato salad and some baked beans - sure was good eating. We finished it off with some chocolate cake with chocolate icing and 3 or 4 big scoops of vanilla Blue Belle Ice Cream. Whew - I think everyone ate too much.
After we had driven off of the main road and were winding our way back to the camp we found this glorious little reminder that spring will come growing beside the road, it is probably an old homestead there. It was almost too dark to take a picture, I had it in the head lights of my truck. The picture is not great with the phone's camera but I thought I would share it with you anyway. I enjoy those yellow flowers. I don't think that one is a jonquil but I don't really know. It did seem to be a reminder that the cold will not last forever and that we can always count on our Arkansas weather to change.
