The Mena-Polk County Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Wheels and Wings Fest today at the airport. It seemed as if there were a lot going on out there. I saw a motorcycle and car show, airplane rides were available, there was a skydiving demonstration, BBQ cook off, vendors, food, singing and more. The crowd seemed good and the weather was just about perfect. Nice blue skies, dry cool air - a touch of fall in the air.
I left there and rode over to the Ink Fire Department, they were having a BBQ tonight. No one was there and I was not able to go back tonight. My kids are in town and my mother fried chicken with all the fixins.
