Twice a year the County Line & Yancey Volunteer Fire Departments host a BBQ. The BBQ is quite an event with large numbers of friends and supporters coming to get some of their good BBQ and to enjoy the company of friends. I ate a plate and had a piece of chocolate pie, it was all real good. I don't know how many they serve but it is certainly hundreds and maybe more than that, I imagine that for every meal eaten there more are taken out.
The BBQ's are how these departments support their fire department needs. I appreciate their efforts and their caring.
