Budget Hearings and Luker/Herrod Fish Fry

Some great fried crappie and bream

Lot's of eating and talking going on

I left Nashville about 5:30 this morning headed for Little Rock. I had forgotten how frustrating the morning rush traffic can be. I sat in on the Budget Hearings this a.m. It was a good refresher / reminder of how much there is to know and how much work I have to do.

I spent the afternoon working on a couple of different projects and visiting with legislative staff and some friends. Seemed as if the afternoon went very quickly.

My good friend Senator Jim Luker (Wynne) has a tradition of catching fish - usually crappie and bream and teaming with Ron Harrod to serve a fish fry for legislators and friends. The fish was cooked just right and as always I ate too much.

I am really looking forward to getting to Little Rock and working. I will be spending more time at the Budget Hearings next week.
