The Polk County Farm Bureau hosted their annual meeting last night. It was held at the Polk County Fair Building. There was a pretty good crowd. I have eaten several times at the fair building and the food is always good. I attended last years meeting and it was good to see a lot of those fine folks again.
My friend, Floyd Clark, is the agency manager and he kept the program moving along at a pretty good pace. The best part of the program is the young people and their efforts during the year. The reports on the MASH camp and the sewing with cotton are always interesting. Congratulations to the farm family of the year, the Hunter family. Randy Veach, Vice President of Farm Bureau, was the speaker. He spoke of the importance of agriculture in our state. It is our number one industry and is very important to our economy.
After the meeting, I had an errand to run in Mena and stopped on the way home to deliver some signs all of which caused me to not get home until about 11:00 last night.
