The Pike County Fair Parade in Glenwood is quite a parade. I am not sure I have ever seen a parade that well participated in and with that many people lined down the sides of the road. It really was an incredible event - lots of floats and and lots and lots of kids.
I thought that I took a lot of candy but I ran out about 2/3rds of the way through. Next year I won't run out if I have to buy the store out.
It was fun and I saw a lot of friends. My friends from the Pike County Democratic Women had a nice float and there were several other "political type" floats.
I had planned to leave there and go to the Sevier County Farm Bureau Annual Dinner in DeQueen. There was just no way to leave the parade until it was over and then there was not enough time to make the drive to DeQueen. I am sorry, I was looking forward to visiting there.
