Tonight the Mineral Springs Hornets played in their annual Green and Gold Game. I counted 25 young men suited out tonight and I understand that there are another 5 to 8 players who could not make it for one reason or another.
I love high school football so I enjoyed watching them. The Hornets line looks pretty big and was doing a good job of protecting and opening up some holes. There appear to be several bright spots among personnel and it will be fun to watch as their season progesses. Next Thursday evening they host the DeQueen Leopards in a scrimmage game.
I wish Coach Segrest, Cooley, and the rest of the coaching staff a successful season as well as the cheerleaders and the band.
