Monday night Mom, Debbie and I went to Mena for the Polk County Democratic Women's fundraiser. It was good fun. There was a good crowd and plenty of good food. The ladies had worked very hard on the event. Jimmie Lou Fisher was the featured speaker - she is such a nice and gracious lady. We candidates were given time to speak. Good evening of food and fellowship.
Tuesday night I went to Center Point to drop in on the poultry house pellet stove presentation hosted by the Conservation Districts. It was interesting, I did not get to stay long enough to hear the whole pitch. After leaving there the Howard County Farm Bureau Board was meeting and had invited me to come to their meeting. They had some really good smoked pork for the meal and a good crowd. After their business was concluded we introduced ourselves and then took questions from those attending. It was fun, lots of good questions, some of them hard. I really appreciate their invitation.
