Severe Weather

Last night there was severe weather statewide as a series of fronts moved through the state. In my district there were several severe weather cells that passed through. Dierks was struck by a tornado sometime between 10:00 and 10:30 last night. I spoke with Mayor Mounts shortly after the damage and I was in Dierks early this morning to look at the damage. The pictures above show a Laundromat and a mini-storage that were damaged. It appeared to me that the tornado just skipped along. Plenty of damage was caused but it could have been much worse. You may recall Dierks was hit last year and lost their water plant. Thankfully that did not happen this year. The photo below shows friends and neighbors being good neighbors and helping out with clearing damage. When we help each other in times of trial that is when I believe we are at our best and it is what the Lord expects of us. There may be more weather yet to come this evening. We will watch and pray.
