Mena Jazz Band Performs at Annual Governor's Dinner


The Mena Jazz Band performed at the annual Governor’s Dinner in Little Rock on June 26th. The guest speaker for the evening was Presidential hopeful, Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota. The band entertained 400 guests from around the state. Doyle Webb, Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman, extended an invitation to the Mena Jazz Band to perform at the dinner after hearing an outstanding performance at the local Lincoln Day Dinner on May 16th. The Jazz Band is under the direction of band director’s Nevada Mills and Charles Morgan. The Mena Jazz Band is comprised of members of the beginning, middle, and high school bands.
