Little Rock & Minority Health in Sevier County

The Charitable and Penal subcommittee met in Little Rock at 1:30 today. I drove up this morning and arrived in time to have lunch with some friends. The meeting lasted longer than I had expected and I had to leave a little early so that I could get back to DeQueen tonight. The Minority Health subcommittee of Senate Public Health and the Minority Health Commission had a meeting tonight in DeQueen. The Commission had been in town all day conducting screenings and by all accounts had a great turnout. Chairman Jack Crumbly was a most gracious host and I appreciated his courtesies.

We need to all learn to live together and to support each other. Seems to me today was a good step in that direction.
