My democrat friends from Pike County gathered at the Gould's house yesterday evening to share a meal and fellowship and to welcome Todd Turner and his family. Todd is the head of the Arkansas Democratic Party and lives in Arkadelphia. The food was good and plentiful and the company was grand. There were probably 30 or so people there and it was nice to just sit under the pavilion and visit.
Relay for Life was last night in Nashville. We I arrived back home I dropped by the Nashville Park and visited for a while (and left some money). While I was there cancer survivors were telling their stories and it was nice to see the respectful silence each was given as they spoke.
I made it into the house shortly after 10 p.m. making for a nice restful evening.
