2009 Girls State

Yesterday I spent most of the day at the Capitol working with the young ladies that were elected Senators during Girls State. I love to work Girls State - the young ladies are smart and energetic and it gives me hope that the coming generations will be able to address and rectify the problems we are going to leave them. The American Legion Auxilliary Department of Arkansas is the sponosor of Girls State and I really appreciate their efforts on behalf of those attending. Their website has some info on Girls State, click here to see it. The young men from Boys State are at the Capitol this morning. I expect they will have a good time.
