I am about to go down to the Joint Budget Committee meeting. As I listen and read about the Budget I am reminded how much there is to know and how much I have to learn. So I try to sit and listen - even though sitting and listening is not necessarily my strong suit.
Last night the State Employees Association hosted a reception for Legislators. I had an opportunity to visit with two from my district. Joe Buckley who is the Park Superintendent at Historic Washington State Park and Connie Hendrix who works for Workforce Services in Polk County made the drive to Little Rock. I enjoyed visiting with them. I believe Connie will be back later in the month for her Day at the Capitol with the State Employee Association.
I know I repeat this all the time but I truly do enjoy meeting with, hearing from and visiting with people from my district.
