Governor's State of the State Address

This morning the House and the Senate met in Joint Session to hear Governor Beebe give his "State of the State" address. Without going into too much detail he discussed education and it's importance to the state including the increase of $234 per pupil for K-12, more dollars for ARKIDS, cutting an additional penny from the sales tax on groceries, increasing the cigarette tax and more.
