22nd Annual Christmas & Candlelight in Historic Washington

Historic Washington hosted the 22nd Annual Christmas and Candlelight in Historic Washington celebration the last two Saturday nights. It is such a great event. All of the properties and beautifully decorated for the season and everyone associated with the event is happy and having fun and seem genuinely glad to be there.
Last year was my first time to attend the Christmas and Candlelight and after last year I resolved to not miss another one. The photo above is of the choir from the Mineral Springs Church of Christ. They sang magnificently and seemed to be really enjoying themselves. I sat through their entire program which was in the old Methodist Church. There was a lot going on, there was a string quartet in the old gym, flutes in the Presbyterian Church and much more.
If you have never been or if it has been a while I encourage you to make time. It is well worth your time and is as pleasant a way to spend an evening as I know.
