Children's Center & Masons Hot Dog Cookout

I shared lunch at the Nashville City Park under one of the pavilions with the clients of the Howard County Children's Center and some of the brothers from the Pleasant Valley Lodge #30 Masonic Lodge. The masons were cooking and serving hot dogs and potato chips. The clients were doing their part by eating and coming back for seconds and thirds and.... It was a cool, rainy day for an outside lunch/picnic but there was great enthusiasm all around.
I appreciate the Masons for their efforts and all the fine folks from the Children's Center for getting themselves and the clients out in this weather. Dildy Reed told me that the Masons began this tradition in 2000 and that it has been an annual event ever since then. I love the clients and their smiles, I love shaking hands with each of them. They are special people and I pray God's Blessings upon them and those who help them in their paths through life.
