Some of those attending the School Board meeting
Tonight my friend Representative Bubba Powers and I visited with the school board and a good crowd of local patrons as discussion was begun on how to best deal with the declining balance of funds available to the district. It was a good start to what will be an arduous task.
I have always maintained that if a local district wants to pay to keep their school and if the test scores are good that the district should be allowed to continue. I believe that Bubba feels very similiarly.
The Board will meet again on the 13th of November -in the meantime all interested parties will be looking for answers to help with the situation. I expect that there will not be one answer but that it will be some combination of several efforts.
