Mental Health Court Panel in Hot Springs

I spent most of the afternoon at "Addressing the Needs of the Mentally Ill Criminals". I listened to Judge Moss and his coordinator (Booneville, Idaho) discuss their Mental Health Court. After his talk I served on a panel with Senator-Elect David Johnson, Senator Luker, Representative Joan Cash and Representative Tracy Pennartz moderated by Jay Bradford.

It is hard to serve on a panel discussing a subject that you know little to nothing about. The one thing that I do know is that we don't do enough to help our mentally ill in Arkansas. The folks in Crittenden County have applied for a grant to try a trial court. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
