I am always amazed at the amount of energy the volunteers put in as they bring in another hugely successful Stand Up for America. This year was no exception. The local portion of the program titled "Freedom in a Small Town Southern Community" was great fun again this year. Dena Tollett & Sandra Jones worked very hard to bring the program together. Thanks to all who participated in it.
All of the Chamber of Commerce volunteers and park volunteers and employees and the Search & Rescue Unit worked really hard and I appreciate their efforts.
The Bear Creek Boys just give and give and give of their time and their talents. Thanks guys (and Laurie).
Neal McCoy worked very hard and puts on a great show. It seemed to me it was the best crowd ever - certainly as good as any lately. The fireworks seemed to me to be the best ever. It was hot but well worth the time.
Thanks again to all who worked and supported the event and to all of those who bought tickets and braved the heat.
