Southwest Area Conservation Districts Meeting

Today the Mine Creek (Howard County) & Pike County Conservation Districts hosted the southwest area conservation districts meeting. The turn out was pretty good with approximately 85 registered attendees. I serve on the Mine Creek Soil Conservation District Board here in Howard County and am serving my second term on the board.

I know that Sevier County, Pike County, Hempstead County, Ouchita County, Miller County, Clark County, Columbia County & Howard County had representatives attending. It is possible I have forgotten to name a county or two.

The program was fairly fast paced and interesting. I appreciate Louise & Mary's hard work and preparation. Representative Randy Stewart was in attendance and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Trail's End catered the meal and it was extraordinarily good - chicken & dressing, ham & turkey, green beans, corn, rolls cranberry sauce and several desserts.
