Fireworks at the DeQueen Park

Last night the DeQueen Park hosted a gathering for food, entertainment and ending with fireworks. On one of the ball fields they had the sprinklers going and were allowing young children to play in the sprinklers. Sure looked like they were having fun and I know that they were not as hot as I was. There were several groups selling food for fundraising purposes.

My friend Bryan Chesshir, who is a candidate for Prosecting Attorney, was there working hard campaigning. He was handing our balloons and fans. I like to see candidates working hard.

As the evening got later the crowd really grew. I don't know how many people were there to watch the fireworks but I do know it was a big crowd. There were vehicles everywhere. The fireworks show was very good. I arrived back home shortly after 10:00.

I am off to the Lockesburg park for a car/tractor/bike show. I expect to visit a while and then come home and go for a bicycle ride.
