The Nashville Chamber of Commerce banquet was last night. There was an extraordinarily good crowd. I would estimate about 300 people attended. Governor Mike Beebe was the featured speaker. As always, he did a great job. He is doing an incredible job as our Governor. Senator Jim Hill is the new Man of the Year - good for him! Beverly Starr was the woman of the year, she is such a nice lady. Coach John Wilson was the Orange & Black educator, the Home Improvement Center won the large commercial building and Don Sitzes, DDS won the small commercial building. The club of the year was the Howard County Christian Health Clinic. Other than lasting too long it was a good evening. It is that time of the year for Chamber Banquets. I know that DeQueen's is the 21st of February. I always enjoy them. It is good to see old friends and hopefully to make some new ones.
