I spent the morning listening to discussion before the State Board of Education regarding the proposed consolidation of the Delight and Weiner School Districts. I thought the presentations were good and I appreciated the Board giving the parties time to make their case. I had to leave before the vote because it was time for us to go into Session. The Board voted 8 to 0 to not allow the merger. Now we have to get all parties back to the table and work out the solution that is best for the students.
We have heard the Governor give his address and have adjourned for the day. I took the above picture this morning about 10 - it has been steady snowing since then. I am thankful I don't have to drive today.
