Thursday Was Busy

It seemed as if I spent most of the day in the car yesterday as I traveled from engagement to engagement. The young people at the Wickes High School were great fun. I gave a short talk about the importance of our country's Constitution for Constitution Day and then I took questions from the students. I tried to answer a lot of questions and there were many more hands up that I just did not have time to get to. Mostly good questions that showed they were interested in our country and were trying to follow the news about health care, Iraq and Afghanistan and other items in the news.

Then to hope where Chairman Bill Samples was conducting a Transportation Committee meeting. I did not get to stay but a minute there before heading to Hot Springs Village where I gave a talk/devotional to the Emmaus group at the Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. They served me a good potluck supper and then we joined for some singing and worship. I enjoyed it and received a blessing from it. After the leaving the church I stopped by my friends George and Jeannie French's house for a short visit. George cannot hear much but I was glad to see them. Made it home about 9:00. Took some time to sit in my chair and read before turning in.
