It seems to me that every where I go the main topic of discussion is President Obama's Health Care Reform (if it is not health care it is almost certainly the lottery). Saturday at the Watermelon Festival I had an opportunity to visit with Congressman Ross about the issue. I know that as a "Blue Dog" he is deeply involved in the discussion and has been instrumental in negotiating many changes. He is having a Town Hall Meeting at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia on Friday, August 14th at 2:00 p.m. in Arkansas Hall. I communicated to him that the small businessmen and ladies that I am visiting with in District 20 are telling me that their businesses cannot stand any additional tax burden in the current economy. Many small business people are struggling to keep their businesses open, provide jobs and to survive until the economy turns around and starts back up.
Congressman Ross has a new website dedicated to health care reform, http://ross.house.gov/healthcare.
