Chancellor Frank Adams at Cossatot Commuity College University of Arkansas invited me to give the Commencement Address today to the Spring 2009 graduating class. I love giving graduation talks, they are always bright and forward looking and everyone, including graduates, family, faculty and staff are all just happy. At 2:00 this afternoon I delivered a short talk to the graduates and those attending.
From there I was headed to Ink Volunteer Fire Department to support their fundraiser. I was glad that I had called Sheriff Oglesby and learned from him that the event had been called off due to the rain. I had traveled north as far as Gillham when I learned of the cancellation. It worked out just fine. I was going to visit the Gillham Fire Department's fund raiser on the way home. I had some good BBQ there and a nice visit. Then I was off to Lockesburg's fire department for their fish fry. As is almost always the case there was really good attendance at the Lockesburg event. I had a good visit and some good fish and I am looking forward to getting home and putting my feet up.
