87th General Assembly's Last Week in Regular Session

I expect this session of the 87th General Assembly to wind down this week. We plan to recess on the 9th of April (Good Friday is the 10th) and come back for Sine Die (without a day designated for a future meeting) on the 1st of May giving us time to override any vetoes the Governor might make. In my opinion it is time for us to come home. While there are still a couple of bills out there that I like and would like to see become law I expect that is unlikely to happen. It appears to me that the bill "pipeline" is beginning to empty out.

I am amazed this weekend at how tired I seem to be. My bicycle ride yesterday, 31 miles, took a lot out of me - I am not sure that I ever really recovered the rest of the day.
