The ladies in the Hempstead County Democratic Women hosted a Beans and Cornbread Dinner last night at the Hope Fairground Community Building. The weather was terrible, cold and wet which seemed to keep the crowd down some. Mark Keith and his band provided the entertainment - I always enjoy listening and watching them, seems to me they enjoy themselves greatly. I am an associate member of all of the Democratic Women groups in my district. They work hard and have a good time and are an important part of the Arkansas Democratic Party.
I drove over to Hope and arrived there about 5:30 and stayed till it was over - leaving just before 7:00. Normally I would have stopped at my office and worked a while but instead I headed home and enjoyed being there and just sitting in my chair and reading.
