NAACP 100th Anniversary and Hope Friends

My friends from the Hempstead County chapter of the NAACP were at the state Capitol today. From left to right they are Vincent Wesley, Phyllis Stroughter, Reverend French E. Stroughter, Teague, Oral Post, Sandra Hundley, Gloria Jones and Hazel Simpson.

The group was at the Capitol in Little Rock for a commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the NAACP. The organization was founded on February 12, 1909.
I appreciated them coming to see me. The picture is in Room 272 of the Capitol. Room 272 is a Senate committee meeting room - they planned on sitting in and listening to the committee.
