This photo of a nativity scene reminds me of the creche we had when I was a very small child. Mom still has it somewhere though it is quite a bit the worse for wear after my brother and I played with it for years.God loved us enough to give us his Son - our Savior. Christmas celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah
My office is closed until Monday, Lisa and Brenda have gone home to their families. Larry, Tana and my brother, David, and his family are on their way home and will make it in time for the candlelight service at First Methodist this evening.
Our Christmas tradition includes a family outing to the candlelight service and then back to Cay's for homemade chili. In times past when Dad made the chili it was not uncommon for him to have it so spicy that we could hardly eat it - the more complaints he received the happier he was.
I pray that you and yours celebrate Christmas with whatever traditions are important to you and that we all remember it was God's love for us that brought Jesus to us more than 2000 years ago and his sacrifice that promises us salvation. MERRY CHRISTMAS and GOD BLESS!
