My friends from the Developmentally Disabled Providers Association hosted a legislative reception for us in the Purtle Room at UACCH this afternoon. Rainbow of Challenges, the Howard County Children's Center, Sevier County Developmental Center, Opportunities, Inc and others were our hosts today.
I have always supported their cause and I look forward to working with them again. It is a tight year for funding but we need to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. My friends Representative Bubba Powers and Representative-Elect Gary Smith (Camden) were in attendance. Seemed to me there was a very good turnout for a Friday afternoon.
