A friend from Heber Springs sent me the above photo of the Arkansas House of Representatives chamber. The message said it was from 1955 and I note the LIFE superimposed on the bottom right corner of the photo which makes me think it must have been run in Life magazine. Below is a photo I took from the Arkansas House of Representatives website this morning. Things have changed in the last 50 years. Now there is not much paper on the desks, a lot of the work and reading is done electronically. The Arkansas House chamber is beautiful, if you've not had a chance to visit the Capitol it is a beautiful structure and when it is decorated for Christmas it is particularly beautiful. I encourage you to stop in and walk around.
