At the State Fairgrounds in Little Rock last night former Representative Jay Martin hosted an event to feed the hungry. I don't know how many people were fed but there were a lot of people in the Hall of Industry building. There was enough food for everyone to have all they wanted and to take a plate or two home with them. In addition to all they could eat there was someone from legal aid, medical personnel, barbers and others in the building available to anyone who needed help.
Representative Kathy Webb, Representative-Elect Richard Carroll, Representative Dan Greenberg, and former Representative Sandra Prater were among the volunteers. Without Representative Webb's kitchen knowledge the food would not have been ready on time. I am very thankful for everyone who gave of their time and donated money and food. There is no reason why any of the citizens of our great state should go hungry.
