It appeared to me that the Howard County Fair premium sale was a huge success for the kids. I don't know how much money was raised but it had to be a significant amount. The crowd seemed good - the weather was extraordinarily nice - cool with a breeze blowing.
Those young people work hard all year long to show their animals and it is appropriate that their friends and neighbors (and politicians) support their efforts at the sale.
Thanks to all the volunteers who work so many hours so that the fair goes smoothly and is a success.
I am off to DeQueen for a Friends of NRA Banquet and a reception for some friends. I will report in later this evening or in the a.m.
